It felt like a very long set up up to the next 2 books which must contain a lot more action (Tempests Tempests book Slaughter, after all - though we did see some of that in this first book).
Given the amount of focus on her, I'm hoping that Preet wil turn out to be the equivalent of Faithful, Pounce or Kitten - but right now, she's more like Kel's baby /5().
